Penyebab Kebakaran di Medan yang Tewaskan 2 Balita Kakak Beradik
Portalberita.one – Satu unit rumah di Kelurahan Siti Rejo III, Kecamatan Medan Amplas, Kota Medan, terbakar pada Rabu (3/5/2023). Dua orang kakak adik Aldo (4) dan Bunga (3) tewas dalam insiden itu. Plt Kepala Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan Kota Medan M Yunus mengatakan, bahwa peristiwa terjadi pada pukul 12.32 WIB.
“Sekitar 11 menit armada kita sudah tiba di lokasi kejadian dan melakukan pemadaman, memang pengamatan langsung kita ketika sampai sana, ya gitu api tidak lagi besar, sudah ada yang dipadamkan warga,” ujar Yunus melalui saluran telepon.

Meski begitu, pihaknya tetap melakukan pemadaman agar api cepat mati. Total ada empat unit mobil damkar diturunkan untuk memadamkan api. Sementara itu, Manager Pusdalops-PB BPBD Kota Medan Ronald F Sihotang mengatakan, persentase rumah yang terbakar lebih kurang 40 persen.
“Penyebab kebakaran dalam penyelidikan dua korban meninggal langsung dibawa ke Rumah Sakit Mitra Medika,” ungkapnya.
Paman korban, Fajar Fathurrahman, mengatakan, saat kejadian, jenazah korban ditemukan di dalam kamar. Mereka tidak sempat terselamatkan lantaran kedua orangtua mereka sedang tidak di rumah.
“Orangtua yang perempuan lagi pergi ke Kecamatan Delitua, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, yang satunya (ayah korba) lagi (berjualan) di pajak,” ungkap Fajar kepada wartawan.
